About
Ripple Effect is an expanding, collaborative, site-sensitive, multi-media project at 756 Chapel Street. Once home to the popular and much-loved music store, Goldie & Libro, the building is rich in memories; currently it accommodates a men’s clothing store on the first floor. The “ripple effect” manifests as artists respond to the building’s architecture, history or psychological landscape. Each “ripple” artist “tags” another artist to create an installation or “pokes” a fellow artist to interface with or react to their own piece. The interior spaces are continually evolving and transforming into new and creative experiences.
The collection of artwork will remain throughout the duration of the project. In December, a series of public festivities are planned for the community to capture the full effects of the ripples!
